If you think of CrawlGates as giant croquet wickets through which
children can crawl, you’ll have a pretty good feeling for both the
potential and flexibility of their use. In truth, it was while working on a
UltraFoam croquet wicket that the CrawlGate idea was born.

Harnessing UltraFoam Providing Physical And Cognitive Challenges

Just a quick look through the Innovations section in the Sportime
catalogue and you know how often we incorporate the unique traits
of UltraFoam into the products we design. Its soft and safe, making
it the perfect choice for what we had in mind. We used 129.5cm x
1.3cm extrusion to form the crawl-through arch and stabilized it by
anchoring it at both ends with 7.6cm D x 8.9cm H, UltraFoam encased
stability weights. Unlike fixed diameter and distance Crawl Tunnels,

"CrawlGates" can be easily adjusted for heights from 53.3cm to
61cm and corresponding widths, from 81.3cm to 48.3cm, simply by
positioning the bases. The closer together, the higher the arch. Because
each Gate is free standing, it can be set virtually any distance and in
any pattern. Patterning is made easier and cognitively more versatile
by employing the power provided by the set’s primary and secondary
colour configuration. CrawlGates can also be used as giant croquet
wickets, where PG balls are propelled through the "Gates" by "leg
mallets". One each; red, yellow, blue, green, violet and orange.
